I've recently been exploring AI integrations with Unreal. The AI software I've been utilising is Inworld AI, and I used Metahumans as a realistic human model for the AI to puppeteer.
Working with SIFO’s (National Institute for Consumer Research) IMAGINE project as part of my uni work, I explored how AI may be utilised in a ‘utopian’ future to replace retail workers, utilising speculative and critical design theory. I made a future store assistant worker, called Kevin! Kevin was designed to be annoying and pushy - promoting the user to eat less meat and more sponsored products, such as ice cream - to cause users to think critically about the legislation covering AI practices, and how AI may be used by stores in the future to promote food sustainability.
SPARC AI was another project created utilising the same software, but in a different context. This AI was given data on the SPARC (Sustainable Partnerships and Reseacrh Collaborations) project at Arbeidsforskningsinstituttet (Work Research Institute), and encouraged to share and ideate with others on creative workshopping methods for sustainability.
Here's a little taster of what Kevin can do!
